As a Network Technician at GlobalConnect, you will be part of a team that works with both new construction and maintenance of fiber networks. Together with your colleagues, you will work on migrating new fiber networks from contracts that GlobalConnect has won, as well as decommissioning networks from contracts where agreements have expired. The work involves a combination of technical configuration, troubleshooting, and collaboration within the team to ensure stable and effective network solutions. The team works in a structured manner and has a clear vision for how the networks should develop going forward. Collaboration and knowledge sharing are central to daily life and contribute to the team delivering high quality in their work every day. This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at GlobalConnect. The assignment is full-time and is expected to last at least until the end of the year. There are very good opportunities for extension, provided that all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Work together with the team to migrate new fiber networks from won contracts
• Decommission networks from contracts where agreements have expired
• Work with configuration and management of network equipment such as routers and switches
• Troubleshoot and ensure stable operation in the network environment
• Contribute to the team's work in developing and maintaining the network infrastructure

We are looking for you who

• Have a high school education with a focus on networks and communication or similar
• Have an interest in networks and network technology as well as basic knowledge of router and switch technology (e.g., Cisco, Huawei, or Extreme)
• Have basic knowledge of WAN technology and network troubleshooting (e.g., CCNA Routing and Switching)
• Have basic knowledge of Office 365, for example, Excel
• Are very comfortable with Swedish in speech and writing and have basic knowledge of English

It is meritorious, but not a requirement, if you have

• Previous experience with migrating communication operator networks (KO networks)
• Previous experience from GlobalConnect
• Knowledge equivalent to CCNP Routing & Switching
• Experience with firewall technology, cybersecurity, or IP telephony
• Knowledge of GNU/Linux, QoS, or wireless networks
